I can honestly say it’s been a while since I’ve had such difficultly getting interested in a book. D.M. Pulley has a great witting style but, this story was just a little lost to me. I couldn’t find anything I liked about it. I am not a slow reader and if it had interested me I should have been able to finish this in less than a week. Yet, The Buried Book was so boring that it took me over a month to read it. I was drawn in by the blurb. At first I thought it was going to be interesting but I hated the main character. I feel once you hate the main character everything is downhill from there. Even if the character is suppose to be hated, which this one was not, you should still enjoy the story.
So the big question is would I recommend this book? No, I’m sure there are people who will love this book and rave about it. It just isn’t my cup of tea. I might come back and revisit this book again in the future but for now my opinion stand.
